AI Online Protractor
Legal & Compliance

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 11, 2026

1. Introduction

At AI Online Protractor (accessible at https://aionlineprotractor.com), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information collected and recorded by AI Online Protractor and how we use it.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at hello@aionlineprotractor.com.

2. 100% Client-Side Processing Guarantee (Images & Camera)

Our core mathematical instruments—including the 180° protractor, 360° full circle protractor, 3-point angle calculator, digital inclinometer, and image/PDF angle finders—operate strictly on the client side inside your web browser:

  • Uploaded Files: When you import photos, CAD blueprints, drawings, or multi-page PDF documents, they are loaded locally into browser RAM using HTML5 FileReader and Mozilla PDF.js APIs. Your files are never uploaded to, transmitted across, or stored on any remote cloud server.
  • Camera Feeds: When you use the "Take Photo" feature, camera video streams and captured frames are processed entirely in-memory using HTML5 Canvas. No video streams or snapshots are ever recorded, streamed, or uploaded remotely.
  • AI Computer Vision Line Scanning: All edge-detection and angle recognition algorithms run client-side in real time using JavaScript vector math.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

Like most modern web applications, AI Online Protractor uses basic cookies and HTML5 local storage (localStorage). These are used to store visitors' preferences, such as:

  • Remembering your Dark Mode or Light Mode theme selection.
  • Preserving protractor settings (such as 1° angle snapping preferences).

These local storage entries do not contain personally identifiable information and remain strictly on your local device.

4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

We may partner with third-party advertising vendors, including Google LLC, to serve relevant advertisements when you visit our website.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.

5. Log Files and Web Hosting Analytics

AI Online Protractor follows standard hosting log procedures via edge network providers (such as Cloudflare). These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

6. GDPR Data Protection Rights (European Union)

We want to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization or directly to you.

7. CCPA / CPRA Privacy Rights (California Consumers)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California consumers have the right to:

  • Request that a business disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data collected about consumers.
  • Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business collected.
  • We do not sell personal data: AI Online Protractor does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

8. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Protecting children online is extremely important to us. AI Online Protractor does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. Because our math tools run in-browser without account registration, no student personal data is ever collected or tracked.
